The ReSTOR IOL

The AcrySof® ReSTOR® is a revolutionary intraocular lense (IOL) that allows cataract patients with presbyopia to see without glasses or bifocals. With ReSTOR, patients quickly return to daily activities with a full range of vision, seeing clearly at all distances, day or night. In the clinical study 80% of patients with the ReSTOR IOL reported that they never have to wear glasses. Many were so satisfied with the results that almost 94% of patients said that they would choose to have the AcrySof® ReSTOR® IOL implanted again. The ReZOOM IOL

The AMO REZOOM lens is another new technology multifocal lens that allows cataract and presbyopic patients to see without glasses or bifocals post operatively. Patients who opt for this multifocal tend to have better intermediate vision, i.e. for computer use, than RESTOR patients but not as good near vision, i.e. for reading a paperback novel. Again, most REZOOM patients are extraordinarily satisfied with their post operative near and far vision.
